Plot Summary

Nancy Drew is a highly intelligent teenage detective from the small town of River Heights, who travels to Los Angeles with her father, Carson Drew, while he works on a temporary business assignment. Although her father hopes the move will give Nancy a break from solving mysteries and allow her to experience a more normal teenage life, Nancy quickly becomes interested in the strange history surrounding the mansion they are renting. The house once belonged to a famous Hollywood actress named Dehlia Draycott, whose death years earlier was officially ruled a suicide or accidental overdose. However, rumors and unanswered questions about the case still remain.

While exploring the mansion, Nancy discovers hidden clues that suggest Dehlia’s death may actually have been murder. She finds secret passageways, coded messages, and personal belongings connected to the actress’s final days. Convinced that something was covered up, Nancy begins investigating the old case despite her father’s warnings to stay out of trouble.
