In a quiet rural town in Australia, where everyday life is suddenly interrupted by a massive alien invasion. Strange spacecraft appear in the sky, attacking major cities and military bases across the world. Communication systems collapse, governments fall into chaos, and ordinary civilians are forced to fight for survival. The film focuses on a small group of survivors who must unite despite their differences in order to resist the extraterrestrial threat. The main character, Matt Simmons, is a former soldier and local football coach who tries to protect his family and community when the invasion begins. Alongside him are several townspeople, including Jackson, a rebellious young man; Amelia, a determined doctor; and Peter Bartlett, the local mayor.
